Sketchbook: 2

The first was inspired by a book I read and a song I listened too. I read Renee Carlino’s “Before We Were Strangers” in one night this week. I’ve always been one to listen to music while reading, and since the protagonist in this particular book was obsessed with Jeff Buckley, I decided to put on a Jeff Buckley Pandora station, which I ended up listening to all day long.

The lyric that inspired the sketch says “Just like the ocean, always in love with the moon.”

The second sketch is actually sort of similar to the first now that I’m looking at them side by side. I’m not actually sure what inspired this one, all I know is I started with a circle and a 0.1 micron pen, and this is what fell out of my hand.
